Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using InkWeave. By downloading or using InkWeave, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using InkWeave ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

InkWeave is a macOS and Windows desktop application designed for writers, though our Windows version is still in beta testing and we hope to release it soon. It provides tools for narrative tracking, character management, causality visualization, and AI-assisted writing. The App operates locally on your device.

3. Subscription and Payment

InkWeave offers a free trial period followed by a paid subscription:

• Free Trial — 1 month of full Pro access. A valid payment method is required to start the trial.
• Pro Subscription — US$10/month, billed monthly. You may cancel at any time.
• Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. By subscribing, you also agree to Lemon Squeezy's Terms of Service.
• Subscription fees are non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy.

4. License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

• Download and install InkWeave on your personal Mac devices
• Use InkWeave for personal or commercial creative writing purposes

You may not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Share, sell, or transfer your license key to others
• Use the App to develop a competing product
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notices from the App

5. Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you create using InkWeave. We do not claim any rights to your stories, characters, or creative work. All content is stored locally on your device.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use InkWeave to create content that:

• Violates any applicable law or regulation
• Infringes on third-party intellectual property rights
• Is used for illegal purposes

7. AI Features

InkWeave's AI writing assistant runs entirely on your local device. We make no guarantees about the quality, accuracy, or appropriateness of AI-generated suggestions. You are solely responsible for reviewing and editing any AI-assisted content before publication.

We use llama.cpp as the engine for running local models on your device. The open-source project is hosted at: https://github.com/ggml-org/llama.cpp

A current list of downloadable model weights (Hugging Face repositories, filenames, and license references) is maintained on our Third-Party & AI Models page and may be updated as we ship new app versions.

8. Disclaimers

InkWeave is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for your specific needs. We are not responsible for any loss of data due to software errors or device failures.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of InkWeave, including loss of data or loss of profits.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to InkWeave if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time. Upon termination, your license to use the App ends, but your locally stored content remains yours.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of InkWeave after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will provide notice of significant changes through the App or website.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before pursuing legal remedies.
